Re: Communicating with external devices via USB port of Playbook

[ Edited ]

There's no API - so it's more in the OS than SDK, but yes. It's in PlayBook OS 2.1.

Purely serial data going in and out of the file. No API/IOCTLs or anything to find what you're talking to.

Re: Communicating with external devices via USB port of Playbook

Hello,

Can you elaborate more on what correctly configured means. I powered up my Android ADk and connected the USB Host to the Playbook USB, But the  /dev/aap0 didnt show up. Do we need to connect it with the USB OTG cable?

Its almost been a year when the demo was shown by RIM and no one has yet released the code over it. A little help over the connection and code would be benifical for people loving Robotics and to the ones who want ot develop Accessories for the BB10 environment using Cascades.:Flowers:

Hi,

By correctly configured, you need to have the host hardware activated on the Arduino.

Here's a link to a demonstration of USB+HDMI+BT connectivity that was given at BlackBerry Jam Europe.
