Compile errors, havent started coding yet.

I'm just starting native development and am running through the tutorials, im doing this one:

I've got to the first step and am trying to compile the app even though there is no code in the app apart from what is created for a new project.

 

I have two errors:

 

make: *** [MakeFile] Error 2

make[1]: *** [update] Trace/BPT trap:5

 

Any ideas whats going on.

 

Im using OSX 10.8.

Hi,

You can try with sample example availble in QNX momentic IDE. Below is the path from you can download sample.

QNX momentic IDE -> File -> New --> Example --> Blackberry Cascades Sample -> Select any of project from list.

 

First build the project and then run.

I tried the beard project and it compiled and ran. It's just when I start my own project that the above errors arise.

In starting i also face this issue. One workaround for this is you can remove files from src folder and assets folder and make your own files which you wanted to create. This way your project will run and you can get started with your coding.

Can you give me the steps which you following?

 

And one more thing when you receive this error please check the console window of the momentics. It gives you detail error why this not building.

 

Post that error messge so i can help you on that.
