Dedicated graphics requirement for BB10 simulator

Hi, From the blackvery developer website I found the infromation that BB10 simulator requires NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or higher or an ATI Radeon HD 2600 or higher graphics. Does it affect anyway if the pc has built-in graphics card instead of the required one. I mean I can run the simulator fine but will it affect anyway if I run an opengl project in the simulator? Thanks.

Re: Dedicated graphics requirement for BB10 simulator

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha simulator makes use of OpenGL 2.0.  If your graphics card doesn't support it you can have issues (some only display a black screen).

If you do see a black screen you can try software rendering mode (choose option 2 before the simulator boots), but you could still see rendering issues using this mode.  Plus it'll be slower.

Intel 4500hd, hd3000, hd4000 with latest drivers from Intel work fine.

Does Intel HD Family graphics meet the requirement?

Re: Dedicated graphics requirement for BB10 simulator

Intel HD family graphics work great with Simulator in Windows 7 & 8, but only in Safe mode in Linux :smileysad:
