Hey my friend you can check this info https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/
you can try with the name property
QString QNetworkConfiguration::name () const Returns the user visible name of this configuration.
The name may either be the name of the underlying access point or the name for service network that this configuration represents.
I invite you to watch the Jam Direct of yesterday they say something about this new feature for the sdk 10.2 http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fclick.b.b
Hope this work for you Bye

Ja, I'd also like to know if it's possible to get the SSID through WiFiDirect, and if so, how. All the attempts I've tried so far with whatever is in the documentation haven't returned up anything useful.

Is in the new SDK 10.2 we could detect connected wifi name? Actually i want develop cascades application that can retrieve list of the available wifi ssid, and i programmatically connect to it.
I saw a lot of wifi service function here
And it said "The APIs support hotspot aggregator applications that can configure Wi-Fi profiles and receive aggregator specific event notifications to allow connection at Wi-Fi hotspots on the user's behalf."
But i kinda confuse how to do it. Let say what function i should call first, and there's a lot of struct with no explanation what its contain.
