Entry by user : equivalence to QtextEdit or Qlineedit

Hi everybody, :Helpsmilie:

My question may be strange for you, but I'm starting in world of programming of Blackberry and I use C++ language.

How you can make an entry by user, with Qt I'm using Qlineedit or Qtextedit, but I don't find any equivalence in BB native SDK ? :Whistling:

Can you give a link or example for learn how make an entry (string, int, float...) ?

Thanks for your help !

Re: Entry by user : equivalence to QtextEdit or Qlineedit

Hi,

If you want to go with the Cascades framework, you can use the TextArea and TextField classes.

https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__cascades__TextArea.html

Lots of samples here:

Thanks!

Re: Entry by user : equivalence to QtextEdit or Qlineedit

Hi,

It does. Just about all of the Cascades QML classes are accessible from c++.

The two projects cascadescookbookqml and cascadescookbookcpp in the first repository above do exactly the same thing - but one in QML, the other in c++.

Thanks.

Re: Entry by user : equivalence to QtextEdit or Qlineedit

Hello,

Just nice samples !

I don't understood that you can use QML Classes in the C++ implementation. I had followed the tuto for the first app with slider and image, but not enough for me

Have a nice week-end !
