GeoLocation Native API Example not working

The geolocation native API example found at https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/native/sampleapps does not seem to do much.  It loaded and displayed "Geolocation getting first fix", but nothing else (it did prompt to allow GPS).  I am running Magellan Compass at the same time and it is receiving GPS information without diffilculty.  Is there anything else that has to be done? (I am running BBX 2.0.0.3778 on the device).

Been years since I looked at C code.  Any plans to get a BBX C++ architecture around this?

Re: GeoLocation Native API Example not working

I ran the code as is and had no issues. It took about 10 seconds before it picked up data. Try running it by itself with no other GPS apps to see if that changes anything.

Re: GeoLocation Native API Example not working

I rebooted the device and after about 15 seconds, it started to work. Thanks for the suggestion.
