Get Metadata of Currently Playing Song

Hi all,

Quick question. What is the best way to get the metadata (eg, title, artist, etc) of the song that is currently playing; that is, the metadata that I see when I change the volume on my phone? To be clear - I'm not referring to getting the metadata for a song that my own app is playing; but that (say) the 'Music' App is playing.

I've been trying to find an answer on Google, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

AFAIK there is no way to do this currently.

Re: Get Metadata of Currently Playing Song

Thanks for the reply BBSJ. Too bad there's no way to do this currently - seems like it could be a pretty easy implementation. Maybe in the next version!
