Re: Get available wireless access point and connect to it.

[ Edited ]

Hi sabdelsayed,

I tried the api,

I assume that i will get nearby wifi ssid using wifi_get_scan_results(),  and i can access the result in pointer:
wifi_scan_results_t **scan_results

But how i'm gonna read the content of **scan_resultsThere is no documentation about the content of wifi_scan_results_t
The docs just said that "wifi_scan_results_t  is an opaque structure of the Wi-Fi scan results"

Kindly advise.

From the docs, it seems to me that your app can act as an aggregator app just by calling the wifi_aggregator_register() method referenced in my earlier post.

P.S. I haven't tried using this library myself yet, but it seems that it's now possible for apps to register and retrieve network information that were previously not available. Please try using the library and let us know if you encounter any problem.

Thanks.  I do not see any api to turn on or off wifi using wifi_aggregator_().  wifi_set_sta_power() doesn't seem to work.

Hi smiley,

If you confirmed that the wifi_set_sta_power() method doesn't work, then please open a ticket at jira with the code snippet you used to test the API/method.

Re: Get available wireless access point and connect to it.

Hi yoginih,

Unfortunately, this library is brand new and there's still no sample app/code snippets that demo its use. Until those become available, please initiate another forum thread with help from the community and hopefully you will get the help you need.

Re: Get available wireless access point and connect to it.

Well apparently one developer had claimed his app can turn on and off wifi.
