Getting list of installed applications

Is it possible to get a list of installed applications? I know there is no api for this but I found out appdata folder can be viewed in Target Navigator, is it possible to loop throught the appdata folder for app folders to get thier app ids? I can seem to recurse the accounts/1000/appdata directory.

Re: Getting list of installed applications

With the access_shared permission you should be able to.

Note, however, that apps which have never been launched will not have a folder there. It's auto-created at the first launch of a newly installed app.

Hmm weird, i can access shared folders like docs and misc and write to them , but I tried listing folders in /accounts/1000/appdata but QDir::entryInfoList() size() is always 0

Re: Getting list of installed applications

If you use QDir::isReadable() you will notice that the directory is not readable by applications.

That is a feature! Knowing the location of an app data would help malicious applications to craft security attacks.

Re: Getting list of installed applications

Hi AdrianQuartx, this is not possible with the platform for security reasons.
