there is another port-a-thon on dec 14-15 called "All Apps Aboard BlackBerry Port-A-Thon", anyone know if games count too ??

I'd imagine games are applicable, but be careful... the Terms & Conditions are a little dicey on that one.

"Develop a new application or port an existing app from any other OS besides BlackBerry 10 to the BlackBerry 10 OS using Blackberry Webworks SDK or BlackBerry Native SDK, or Cascades for BlackBerry 10. Apps must not (a) have already been approved by the BlackBerry App World for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet......"

Good news.  It wouldn't make sense to call it all-aboard if games are excluded.

Looks like they're editing their Terms and Conditions for this upcoming Port-A-Thon.

It now states 'AIR apps' qualify. And apps currently available on PlayBook DO qualify. It now states: "Apps must not: (a) have already been approved for release on BB10..."
