GroupDataModel order on property of property

[ Edited ]

Hey Developers

I have a GroupDataModel and want to order on a specific property. The GroupDataModel is filled with objects A. A has an other object called B. And B has a QTime on which I want to order. So normally, if QTime was a property of A, I could do something like

new GroupDataModel(QStringList() << "time");

 But now I want to do something like

new GroupDataModel(QStringList() << "b.time");

 Is that even possible? I tried to implement the operators < and > in b so that maybe he could order it when I said QStringList() << "b" but that also did not help.

Thanks in advance

Ok. I almost get your idea. Your data model is as below right?

A {

       B {

              QTime C

           }

}

I think that the sortingKeys can only support for QStringList (http://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__groupdatamodel.html). You can add a new string variable which equals to the value of the sort key into your collection of ListItemData and use that new variable as the sortingkeys

Re: GroupDataModel order on property of property

Oké, I will have a try on that one! I'll keep this one updated if I can find a better solution.
