My dev machine got trashed, I rebuilt another one and reinstalled the latest version of momentics, and thought all I had to save and bring over was the author.p12 in order to publish using the new dev machine. I guess this is obviously not the case, I have access to all the previous machines files using a backup which I took. however Ican't seem to find any bbidtoken.csk file on the old machine, is this something new because this file doesn't exist within my previous backup.
in anycase when I now try to upload a file to blackberryworld I get the following error..
Does anyone know what I need to do...?
I also clicked on something within the Preferences -> signing -> obtain blackberry id token for signing which I think might have created further problems for me..
Solved! Go to Solution.

in your bar descriptor you have a "Package Name" on the general tab this needs to be the same as any previous release, it cannot be changed. so if you have a previous release check the bar file and rename the package id in your current bar to whatever the older one was
If you have an older BBOS version of the app, there was recently a thread about how to get the package id from those apps

I think the problem is my signing keys, as this is what I need to bring over from my old machine.. to my new but I only have files from a backup...

if you lost your bbidtoken.csk you can create and redownload a new one from https://developer.blackberry.com/codesigning/
was the author.p12 in a zip file with a barsigner.db and barsigner.csk?
if so you should be able to go to window-> prefrences -> blackberry -> signing then click restore and navigate to the zip, not sure if it can be done without all 3 files

I located the old author.p12, barsigner.db and barsigner.csk and manaully ziped them up then I attempted the restore, no errors on the restore but when I republish and attempt to upload I get the same error on blackberry worlds end..
do you have any other suggestions..?

Hi, the package name matches.
but it is solved for the moment, what I did was manally delete the bbiftoken.csk file that was created for me and then rebuilt my project, it appears to be working correctly now, so I guess the restorezip file worked as you suggested.
is this enough or should I be creating a proper bbidtoken now moving forward..
within the preference->signings within the "Blackberry Signing Authority" section is now says "Registered" Yes" and a link to UnRegister

Make sure you link your BlackBerry ID token to the code signing keys you restored. This article explains how.

Do I need to have java runtime installed to run this command?
I'm getting the following error message:
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
