Hi, How to Implement Analytics on my Apps?

Hi, I want to add analytics to my apps.

How to do that?

Is there any link that I can learn about this topic?

Is using Google analytics is posible in BB10?

Thanks

Re: Hi, How to Implement Analytics on my Apps?

There's no analytics API yet supported for Cascades. The BBOS stuff has it, but I don't think even WebWorks for BB10 has it. See https://developer.blackberry.com/devzone/develop/platform_services/platform_analytics.html for whatever is supported. They won't make it hard to find for BB10 once it's supported so if you don't see anything there, nothing yet.

It's also not been in any published roadmaps yet so I don't think we should expect it for months. Very likely some close partners are testing it, but it's not ready for a public beta yet (speculating).

Re: Hi, How to Implement Analytics on my Apps?

It's extremely frustrating. I wish they'd throw money at Flurry or work on their own SDK. Analytics are a big deal...

That's true... probably why they're taking so long to get it on the platform. They want to make sure it's done right and doesn't impact the user experience, battery life, etc.

Re: Hi, How to Implement Analytics on my Apps?

Flurry was recently announced, which is great. But I'm not sure if the SDK is actually out yet because when I go through the process they I ended up downloading a .jar file which I'm pretty sure isn't for BB10 but maybe it is and I just don't know what do with a java file in C++

In the meantime, I'm looking at Countly. I've been able to set it up pretty easily/quickly

Re: Hi, How to Implement Analytics on my Apps?

I got a reply from them this morning saying the same thing...

For now, I'm working with Countly, they're cloud service is free up to a limit or you can just setup your own server (minus some features). When Flurry comes around I'll look it up again.

Got this from a pal, useful for anyone familiar with Google analytics.
