Maybe you can program a batch which includes this command for the testers for easily deployment.

Re: How i can install .bar file on my BB10 device

[ Edited ]

I just remembered there is another way which is called blackberry world sandbox testing.

  1. Setup a 'sandbox' account using the BlackBerry App World vendor portal
  2. Upload your app into BlackBerry App world but don't publish it, just save it and leave it in draft state
  3. On your BlackBerry, load App World and login with your sandbox account email address.
  4. Within any screen in App World press ALT+TST and enter the SKU or ID of your test app.
  5. You can then download the test version of your app (which is not available to anyone else)

You can have a try with this way for BB10. But I only tested this way for the old BB applications. :Shifty:

Update: just realized there is not a physical keyboard. Does someone know whether there is this kind of similar sandbox testing for BB10 or not. Or OTA installation for BB10 is available or not? Thanks

Activate development mode for your device. In the BlackBerry World then you have a section Development Mode in the settings. Pull down from the top bezel > Settings > Development Mode. There you can enter you content ID or SKU.

Re: How i can install .bar file on my BB10 device

So that the sandbox testing is also available for BB10. Right? It is great. You can set up several sandbox account for the testers. It will be the best solution for the testers to download the app from app world before publishing it.

Re: How i can install .bar file on my BB10 device

That's also an option, and a rather good one in my opinion. If I would want do such a thing, I would let the testers create an account and sandbox that account.

A like is always appreciated,
but a nomination for BB Elite even more :-)

Re: How i can install .bar file on my BB10 device

Hi,

I tried doing the same on my machine but when I enter in the content id and/or sku number I get an error message "Requested content not found"  I have verified and it is there,  so I'm very confused as to why I'm getting this message..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Re: How i can install .bar file on my BB10 device

Hi Robdob,

I don't know if you found your problem, but the SKU can be found in the Product Info page.

I've got an issue with ths option, I can found my product, but it show in BB World the Last reviewed App, not the new posted Draft !

Any idea why, someone ?
