Also very interested in this. I did find this article, but dont know if the process is the same for RIM based Label and text fields

Re: How to use custom OpenType, TrueType, WOFF fonts?

QFontDatabase::addFontFromData(fontfileBytes) throws a segfault with the font I am working with, but didnt try any others. This font works fine on ios/andriod so I must be doing something wrong. Has anyone gotten this working?

Here's some info on fonts: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/07/blackberry-10-font-changes/

Side-loaded fonts are currently not supported (but if you get a method working I'd love to hear it!)

Ill keep hacking at it, but will it be supported eventually? We have a font that we use across our apps on multiple platforms that we would like to keep consistent here

Same here. We really need this functionality.

I see that we'll have to use the "TextStyleDefinition" class to specify the fontFamily, but we need to tell the system that our app comes with a custom fornt first.

Has anything been changed regarding to this? iOS supports this since iOS 3...

Just a thought for discussion. Wouldn't it be better to have your app meet the consistency with apps on the same platform? That way your app looks like a blackberry app and uses system fonts.

No, I have an app built for multiple platforms, so I want it to be consistent on all platforms.
