Invocation file type registration?

How do you register your app to be able to be opened for a specific file type (extension)?

Re: Invocation file type registration?

In your bar-descriptor.xml file, add stuff like this:

  <invoke-target id="com.o2interactive.magellan.compass">
    <type>APPLICATION</type>
       <filter>
             <action>bb.action.OPEN</action>
             <mime-type>application/x-rtg</mime-type>
             <mime-type>application/x-rtd</mime-type>
             <property var="uris" value="file://"/>
             <property var="exts" value="rtd,rtg"/>
       </filter>
  </invoke-target>

 It would be nice if there was one forum for invocation.  Right now, you have to jump around to all of the development SDKs to find an answer.  It seems that each one has a piece to the puzzle.
