Issue with deployment on simulator ("Program file does not exist")

Hi,

I am currently having an issue with one project, I cannot deploy it anymore to the simulator: I always get an error "Program file does not exist".

The project itself can be compiled without any isse. I can also deploy the app to my phone without trouble. But when I am trying to deploy to the VM it says:

Program file does not exist
/Users/..../HFR10/arm/o.le-v7-g/HFR10 not found
/Users/..../HFR10/arm/o.le-v7-g/HFR10 not found
/Users/..../HFR10/arm/o.le-v7-g/HFR10 not found

 # the applicaiton is called, HFR10...

What is strange, is that it is looking into the "arm" folder, which does not exist when I compile for the VM since the architecture should be "x86"...

In the x86 folder, I can find the compiled application...

I tried to update the bar-descriptor:

    <configuration name="Device-Debug">
       <platformArchitecture>armle-v7</platformArchitecture>
       <asset path="arm/o.le-v7-g/HFR10" entry="true" type="Qnx/Elf">HFR10</asset>
    </configuration>
    <configuration name="Device-Release">
       <entryPointType>Qnx/Cascades</entryPointType>
       <platformArchitecture>armle-v7</platformArchitecture>
       <asset path="arm/o.le-v7/HFR10.so" entry="true" type="Qnx/Elf">HFR10.so</asset>
    </configuration>
    <configuration name="Device-Profile">
       <platformArchitecture>armle-v7</platformArchitecture>
       <asset path="arm-p/o.le-v7-g/HFR10" entry="true" type="Qnx/Elf">HFR10</asset>
    </configuration>
    <configuration name="Simulator-Debug">
       <platformArchitecture>x86</platformArchitecture>
       <asset path="x86/o-g/HFR10" entry="true" type="Qnx/Elf">HFR10</asset>
    </configuration>

 And edited the Simulator-Debug field which used to point to the "arm" folder...

but after a clean + rebuild, I sill have the same error, and it still looks inside the arm folder...

Any clue of what is wrong? This issue appeared when I moved from momentic 2.0 to the 2.1 beta...

But I guess it changed something in the configuration file, because even if I go back to momentic 2.0, I still have that exact same issue...

Thanks!

Re: Issue with deployment on simulator ("Program file does not exist")

hum... In the "edit configuration" dialog box, I switch from "use workspace settings" to "Enable auto build" and it restarted working...

That is strange, the application was already build and available in the x86 folder...

Anyway... Maybe that would be of help for someone else...

Re: Issue with deployment on simulator ("Program file does not exist")

Thank you so much for posting this, it solved my issue as well.

Rather than selecting the other thing from the option buttons, notice that the thing is invalidly selected "Simulator-Debug" even though it should be "Simulator-Run", or something.

This is almost certainly a momentics bug.
