I've tried to develop an application in landscape, by setting the option in bar-descriptor.xml
<initialWindow> <aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio> <autoOrients>false</autoOrients> <systemChrome>none</systemChrome> <transparent>false</transparent> </initialWindow>
When i run this application in later versions of the simulator, i.e.. 10_2_1.1055 the application is started in portrait. If I run it in the 10_0_10-822 is will switch to landscape at startup. Have something changes in the platform or is this a bug in later version of the simulator?
I am running on Linux with the Simulator in safe mode, since my graphics driver isn't supported.

I tried this using BlackBerry Simulator 10.2.1.1925, which is the 10.2.1 gold release and it did work correctly. Can you try to download the latest simulator and try again?

It's the same problem I'm afraid. Normally develop using QtCreator, but have tried from momentics and just using the "Hello World" project and then change the orientation to landscape.
The log print
