Override in-built screens (example: Lock screen)

Hi,

I am attempting to play with the playbook lock screen. Is there a way to override the lock screen using the ndk?

Or can is it a better idea to do it without (I was under the impression that if this was possible, it would only be with the ndk).

Does anyone know of anway to do this or any material I can read to achieve this? I have been searching for awhile.

Thank you very much!

Re: Override in-built screens (example: Lock screen)

This would not be possible.

Basically anything that may pose a security risk is probably outlawed.

In this case, if an app could disable the lock screen, then it could also do that but provide a fake lock screen, thereby intercepting the user's password. Not good...

Some things like this could eventually be supported, with appropriate permissions the user would have to grant, but we're definitely a long way from that still.

Thank you Peter!

I wish something like this was made known *properly* in the various documentations I was reading.

You have saved me a great deal of trouble :smileyhappy:
