Playbook development (Qt4.8); storing app config data

Hi there,

I'm developing a PB app using Qt4.8. I would like to know where I can store configuration data. The link http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Adobe-AIR-Development/BlackBerry-PlayBook-File-System-Layout/... suggests that the directory 'data' is mapped to $HOME

Does this mean that in my app, I can simply copy config data to "~/appConfig.dat" (i.e. tilda forward slash which is a unix convention for going to home directory)

Cheers,

Ben

Re: Playbook development (Qt4.8); storing app config data

You can store the config data in the the app storage directory which can be accesed by using the path /accounts/1000/appdata/namespace.application/data".   You can also use the System Navigator in the IDE to see the app directory structure.   I have included more documentation on this topic below.   Even though it's for BB10, most of details also apply to PlayBook.
