QML obfuscation

Hi all,

there's a way to obfuscate QML files?

I would protect my application, but I cannot find anything about it.

Some advice?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Re: QML obfuscation

no.
but as the bar file is not accessible when installed the obfuscation would be kind of useless.

I'm not so sure that the bar isn't accessible in any way.

Re: QML obfuscation

I've just searched on Google.. and here there is a first solution:

I suppose that there are severals way to do that.

I know that in computer science all it's possible, but I would complicate the possibility to do that. ;-)

Re: QML obfuscation

These are OS apps taken from the OS (and PlayBook to boot), do you have any proof that 3rd party apps can be accessed in any way?

Re: QML obfuscation

Why don't you post your QML files here and we'll let you know if they need to be obfuscated.

Re: QML obfuscation

bar files are loaded into a sandbox container using blackberry world.
there is no known way to access the bar file on the device (or from outside of it).

Re: QML obfuscation

All that is true but what happens when someone gets root and rips the apps off the device? It would be useful to obfuscate the QML
