When trying to run a release version on my BB 10 device via QNX Momentics, I get this error:

Packaging failed:2
Info: Package created: C:....(the path)

[ERROR] Unable to parse attribute: \n

When trying to launch a debug session I get a similar error:

Error in final launch sequence
Cannot prepare and download the binary
Packaging failed:2

Info: Package created: C:....(the path)

[ERROR] Unable to parse attribute: \n

I have been looking through my run configurations, but I can't find anything wrong. I have searched this forum. the Momentics help section and the web, but can't find anything that explains how to solve the error.

The issue started, when I erased a test project, selected yes when being asked to remove existing configurations (I think that was what Momentics asked me about), made a new project, and wanted to run it.

Maybe it is better to develop on Mac OS? Any thoughts on that? I am using Win Vista at the moment.

I tried setting up the IDE etc. on Mac. The IDE couldn't connect to the phone via USB. Does anybody know a trick to that?

I installed the BB Desktop Software. For reason that could also not connect to the phone.

I guess I will have to try Windows development again :-|

I am developing on MAC without any problem. Yes, BB Desktop Software does not recognize DA but it is not related.

Found out what was wrong.There was a newline character in the description field in the bar-descriptor file *sigh*
