Read image EXIF info?

My guess is the answer is no and I'll have to find a library or something, but...

Is there some way to read the EXIF info out of a JPEG image in Cascades or Qt? I just want to be able to check the rotation flag so I don't end up displaying a photo on its side.

So far I assume I'll be going with http://libexif.sourceforge.net. The library is 1.5MB on my linux box... was just hoping to avoid adding that to my applications size.

Re: Read image EXIF info?

Take a look at the built-in libraries on this page.

Just add it to your project by right clicking on your project -> Configure... -> Add Library. Select Standard BlackBerry Platform Library and you will find Exif in the Image Manipulation category. Be sure the follow the instructions in the cheat sheet!

Re: Read image EXIF info?

Nice, thanks.

...and now I know if I'm using the search box on the documentation page to try both Cascades and Native -- it doesn't search across all libraries/docs, apparently, and I only searched in the Cascades section.

None. #include <libexif/exif-data.h> in the C/C++ file and LIBS += -lexif in your .pro file.
