SSDP Device Discovery

Running OS Version 2.1.0.1088 on Playbook 16GB. Trying to send out a UDP multicast packet to address 239.255.255.250 on port 1900 (for device discovery purposes), the packet is being dropped between the Playbook and the local area network somewhere but most probably the Playbook itself. Changing the port to something else such as 1902, the packet can leave Playbook and can be seen in the network fine. Is it possible that port 1900 is being blocked on the Playbook in the outgoing direction by a packet filter/firewall on the device?. If so, is there a way to disable this?

Thanks.

Re: SSDP Device Discovery

Ok, with further investigation, this seems to be a network issue on our side. Packets were being blocked by the router actually. Interestingly, the same router on a wired connection lets the packets through which caused the confusion in the first place.

Thanks.
