Samples and the simulator

I'm obviously missing a configuration trick here but despite configuring (active) and building for Simulator, I do run as Tablet application and I get

Packaging failed:1
Error: File or dir does not exist: C:\apps\bbndk-2.0.0-beta1\target\target-override\x86\usr\lib\libbps.so

This is the same for all sample HelloWorld etc

If I create the opengl template application I can run on the simulator.

I'm sure this has been answered but I can't see it so all suggestions gratefully accepted

Cheers

Bob

Re: Samples and the simulator

Hi, Bob,

Does that file exist in that location? I don't think it should. The libbps.so is only in the target-override location in the NDK 1.0 release. In 2.0, it is in its proper home in the target/qnx6 location.

You need to adjust your packaging when migrating from NDK 1.0 to 2.0.

Re: Samples and the simulator

To be more precise, if you are targeting the 2.0 platform, you don't have to bundle the libbps.so in your application BAR at all. The OS build on the device has the same version of this library as the NDK.

Re: Samples and the simulator

I did actually check a for it and found it in the qnx6 hierarchy but I've not done an upgrade, I installed the 2.0 straight from the site after downloading it.

Can I do an edit to rectify this? As I said I'm sure I've done something daft but god knows what!

Cheers

Re: Samples and the simulator

H, Bob,

Just remove the libbps.so asset from your bar-descriptor.xml file. You don't need it for deployment on the 2.0 OS.

If you still also need to deploy on 1.0.x OS, then it becomes more tricky.
