Show a progress dialog

I have a qml with a custom progress dialog component. This component is only a ActivityIndicator with two label to show some messages to the user. I call this way in my qml

progressDlg.open();

In this triggered event I want to execute a process that download an xml file, parse it and fill a DataModel for the ListView in this screen. I passed to my function the custom Dialog this way:

app.procesarXml(progressDlg, lwData, lblConsulta, lblParentNode);

In my cpp code I have

oid PmgApp::procesarXml(QObject *pObjDlg, QObject *pObjListView, QObject *pobjLblConsulta, QObject *pobjLblParentNode) {
	Dialog *pDlg = qobject_cast<Dialog*>(pObjDlg);
	ListView *pListView = qobject_cast<ListView*>(pObjListView);
	Label *pLblConsulta  = qobject_cast<Label*>(pobjLblConsulta);
	Label *pLblParentNode   = qobject_cast<Label*>(pobjLblParentNode);

	pDlg->open();
.....

 But the dialogs is never shown...

Any hint, please...

Re: Show a progress dialog

I took the approach described in the SAOP XML sample (http://blackberry.github.io/Cascades-Samples/soapxml.html), that is, create a property and a custom signal to notify the qml to show the dialog and did  not work either!!!

Another suggestion...?

Re: Show a progress dialog

First step: Use a standard activitiy indicator. If it works you can go forward from there.
Its best to simplify an issue like that until it works, then looking what caused the error.
