I am pretty sure everyone else on Mac is experiencing this. Hence, I am hoping there will be a fixed VM available soon ![]()

this slow mouse movement is the reason that I'm only testing on the Dev Alpha
the Simulator is useless for me - I need too much time for mouse movements

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the feedback on this issue.
We are looking at solutions to solve this issue and will hopefully have a fix available in the next beta release. If not then, in the Gold SDK release for sure.
Thanks!

Hi Matt
I am still experiencing the same slow mouse problem even when running the Gold SDK release. Would you be able to help with this?
Thanks!

This feature ended up taking a little bit longer to perfect than we expected. It just missed the Gold SDK release, but will be coming shortly in the next simulator update. This won't have any effects on your applications, just help improve usability.

I'm a professional iOS developer on a Mac, and after reading the UX guidelines and some of the documentation I was excited to have a go at writing some BB10 applications myself - even redesign my existing apps for the platform.
This single issue has convinced me to stop development until it's fixed. Developers need the right tools that feel right in order to consider other platforms.
Looking forward to seeing this progress.

The latest simulators posted online have a new mouse driver which acts more like an absolute mouse. This means the simulator no longer "consumes" your mouse so you have to ctrl-alt out of the guest os so you get to use the same mouse cursor that's used in your host os.
Please let me know if you're still seeing issues with the new simulators.
Thanks,
Daryl

Fantastic! Now if I could only deploy my app to it. Haven't been able to since 1673.
