TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff and TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff give an error?

Hi,

I have a TextArea in QML. I am using Blackberry Native SDK 10.2. The TextArea looks like this:

    TextArea {
        id: inputField
...

        content.flags: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff;
        editable: true;
        enabled: true;
        inputMode: TextAreaInputMode.Custom;
        input.flags: TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff;
}

Now it shows me 2 errors in Momentics IDE. One error in:

        content.flags: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff;

saying "Type mismatch of value of the 'content.flags' property. Expecting bb::cascades::TextContentFlag::Types enum and found TextContentFlag enum."

and the other error in:

        input.flags: TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff;

saying "Type mismatch of value of the 'input.flags' property. Expecting bb::cascades::TextInputFlag::Types enum and found TextInputFlag enum."

A collegue has the same project in Momentics on Linux (I am working on Win7) and has no errors for this QML ... so it must have to do something with the setup of my development environment. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

René

Re: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff and TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff give an error?

Hi Rene,

If you think you are facing a bug, then please report it through jira: https://www.blackberry.com/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Please there add a sample project that would help us reproduce the issue.

Re: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff and TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff give an error?

Hi,

I have been working on some other items for a while. I picked up this topic now again. Could it be that the errors I experience have to do something with the fact that these items are documented (for TextArea) as read-only?

        content: {
            flags: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff
        }

        input: {
            flags: TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff
        }

See https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__cascades__textarea.html#property-cont... and https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__cascades__textarea.html#property-inpu...

Still it is weird that collegues on Linux do not have this problem ...

When I have time I will try to compose a sample project.

BR,

René

Re: TextContentFlag.ActiveTextOff and TextInputFlag.VirtualKeyboardOff give an error?

No, it's only the content and input which are read only meaning you can't switch another in or in other words static.

Setting of flags within that class should be fine.
