The need to canvas in cascades

It's my firsts days learning Cascades,  and, IMHO, the presence of a custom painter library on view/scene easy framework in cascades is an important thing for many developers. QtGui have classes like QGraphicsView, QGraphicsScene and QGraphicsItem that make easier our life. OpenGL and libscreen in cascades is like kill flies with gunshots!!

Very low level libs for image manipulation!!! Image and ImageView classes are too simples for this.

A canvas and QPainter mechanism is required on Cascades.

Thanks.

Re: The need to canvas in cascades

Effectively the same question was asked in this thread: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Cascades-Development/Using-QPainter-on-QImage/m-p/1753995

Note that the Cascades forum is more appropriate at this point for Cascades-related questions. (For those who didn't know it had been created.)
