Using a soap webservice

Hello,

i want to use a soap webservice.

So far i have tried wws (unsuccessfully) and am now exploring gSOAP (http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/soap.html)

It has generated the classes successfully and i don't get any errors displayed (i just added all generated classes in the src folder), but the build fails with:

[...]

cc: C:/BB10NDK/host/win32/x86/usr/bin/ntoarm-ld caught signal 1
make[2]: *** [o.le-v7/hellocascades] Error 1
make[1]: *** [release-all] Error 2
make: *** [device] Error 2

any idea how i can get the code to compile?

Or does anybody else has any experience using a SOAP webservice with the NDK?

Re: Using a soap webservice

i managed to build the project!
took only about 4h with two non-C developers to get all the libraries and files into place.
I'll try to run a webservice, if it is all successful i'll write a guide :smileyhappy:

Re: Using a soap webservice

Hi Simon,

Great! Would there be tips to share on your process?

Writing a guide for others to learn would be an excellent idea. Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Martin

Re: Using a soap webservice

we are using qtsoap successfully, it is quite easy, i just followed the weather example.
unfortunately i don't have time to write a guide about it as we have a very complex project and i want it to make the deadline for certification.
(limited edition, here i come!)
