Re: Very Slow Deployment on WMware Playbook Simulator

Please ensure that you have virtualization enabled in your CPU.  This will give the simulator a dramatic performance boost, which may help with the speed to deploy applications.

Take a look at the simulator documentation for more information.

Re: Very Slow Deployment on WMware Playbook Simulator

Thanks amarcon and daryl_martin!

It got better with your help. Now it takes 35-40 seconds to deploy my app from QNX to my WMware Playbook Simulator.

I went into the VM settings --> Processors. There, I played with the options and this is what I got:

1) Number of Processor Cores: 2

Prefered Mode: Intel VT-x or AMD-V

     Deployment Time: 39 seconds

2) Number of Processor Cores: 4

Prefered Mode: Intel VT-x or AMD-V

     Deployment Time35 seconds

3) Number of Processor Cores: 4

Prefered Mode: Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI

     Deployment Time35 seconds

My state before modifying these options was:

     Number of Processor Cores: 1

     Prefered Mode: Automatic

     Deployment Time: 58 seconds

Thanks again!

This is a decent speed and I think (hope) I can work with that.
