Where is the source for the GPL'd NDK tools?

Since the NDK (specifically, I'm using the PlayBook 2.0.1 NDK) includes GPL3 tools (gcc, gdb, binutils, etc.), RIM must also make the source code used to compile these tools available. Specifically, I'm interested in gdb, as the 'vanilla' version available from the FSF doesn't have ARM QNX Neutrino support (it does have i386 QNX Neutrino support, though). The version distributed with the NDK reports itself as "GNU gdb (GDB) 7.3 qnx (rev. 613)", so I presume it was compiled from patched sources.

Given RIM's commitment to open-source, I'm sure this just an oversight.

Awesome, thank you. This info should be added somewhere to the NDK package documentation :smileyhappy:

Re: Where is the source for the GPL'd NDK tools?

Thanks for bringing this up.

I can talk with the NDK folks about adding improving the visibility of the ported tools. I will also capture the links somewhere in our OSS site at http://blackberry.github.com or maybe at the wiki at http://blackberry.github.com/Community.

Our goal is to record all the ported components and useful developement information in Wiki.  It is a work in progres, and contributions are appreciated.
