equivalent of legacy BB ActiveRichTextField

Hi,

I am looking for a ui field to show text which includes hyper links and phone number... The user should be able to select part of the text, links and phone numbers should be automatically recorgnised and clickable to invoke appropricate targets. I don't need formatting (like colors for font styles).

What ui field shoud I use? Thanks

Re: equivalent of legacy BB ActiveRichTextField

Active text is in the standard text controls by default...

Re: equivalent of legacy BB ActiveRichTextField

TextField is not suitable for me bacause it is one line and it is editale.

TextArea seem to be a suitable one. One problem with TextArea is that I can't set max-line for it.

Re: equivalent of legacy BB ActiveRichTextField

You can make both of them non-editable.

The control has a max character property maximumLength...

and max line...

Just to clarify that TextField does not have the editable property.

[ Edited ]

No but all controls do have the enabled property as it is in the Control ancestor class...

Note that the enabled property and the editable property are totally different on purposes.

Re: equivalent of legacy BB ActiveRichTextField

Yep.

A non-editable TextField is basically a Label.
