getting list of SSIDs

HI,

is there anyway I can get a list of SSIDs that the OS is seeing from the app?

Purpose is to show make use of the list of SSIDs to demonstrate 'indoor location' triage based on nearby WIFI APs.

thanks,
James Tan

Not yet. That information is currently protected, without any restricted permission documented for us to get at it.

Yep, you can leave it open for a while. Maybe we can get some heads-up from RIM at some point about a general timeframe for when this might be doable, or whether for some reason they feel they will never provide it (which would be for security reasons, since I know the data is actually available down there... just restricted for now).

Re: getting list of SSIDs

Hi any update about this issue?

I saw a lot of wifi service function here

https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/core/com.qnx.doc.wifi_service.lib_ref/topic/manual...

And it said "The APIs support hotspot aggregator applications that can configure Wi-Fi profiles and receive aggregator specific event notifications to allow connection at Wi-Fi hotspots on the user's behalf."

But i kinda confuse how to do it. Let say what function i should call first, and there's a lot of struct with no explanation what its contain.
