invoke broken?

On 10.2 my app is not invoked for file types which are defined in the bar-descriptor of the app. Before 10.2 everything worked fine. Has something changed?

Re: invoke broken?

This means there are problems both with inbound and with outbound invocations. This is *really* not what BlackBerry needs right now. And neither do the customers of my app...

Re: invoke broken?

Can you please share more details on what issue you are having. The only issue I am aware of is when you set a target ID in your qml invokequery it fails (C++ invokes work fine btw). The issue was identified and resolved internally and will be fixed in 10.2.1.

Re: invoke broken?

Thanks.

I have this in my bar-descriptor:

<invoke-target id="eu.marcelnijman.Chesswise">
<invoke-target-type>application</invoke-target-type>
<invoke-target-name>Chess-wise</invoke-target-name>
<filter>
<action>bb.action.VIEW</action>
<action>bb.action.OPEN</action>
<mime-type>*</mime-type>
<property var="uris" value="file://"/>
<property var="exts" value="pgn"/>
</filter>
</invoke-target>

With 10.0 it was possible to open a PGN file email attachment (or browser link) in Chess-wise. In 10.2 this feature is broken.

Thanks for sharing your target details. Can you share how the invoke is performed and how it is failing. Please also include any relevant logs you have.

Re: invoke broken?

The invoke is not performed. If I send myself a PGN file, and open mail, then I see a question mark next to the attachment, meaning the file type is not recognised.

Re: invoke broken?

Ah ok. Can you confirm that your app and the email account are both in the same perimeter? (personal vs work)

Re: invoke broken?

Yes they are.

I did some more testing, and invoke does work from the File Manager. Just not directly from email.

Re: invoke broken?

Actually this doesn't just happen in QML, it occurs with C++ code too any time InvokeQuery is used with a target either directly or indirectly (as when using InvokeActionItem which uses InvokeQuery in the background).
