non permanent settings

hi.. is there a settings for non permanent settings, like the settings will be gone on device reboot

where does QHash store?
the reason i want to create this setting is to check the headless is running or not.
cause sometimes the service is not running and i have to start the service manually from the ui part

to do that you could implement a socket communication and just ask your service, if there is no reply its not running.
