stderr on simulator

[ Edited ]

Hi,

Where can I find logs printed to stderr while running app on simulator?

The Console tab in QNX Momentics is empty.

Please use plain text.

Are you using something similar to this?

    fprintf ( stderr, "something to stderr" );

Or using C++ cerr? What version of NDK are you using? I just tried it on NDK 2.0.0 beta 3 and looks fine, both stdout and stderr are written on the console (although I expect the stderr to be red; I'll investigate that).

Still, you should be able to see the output logs at /accounts/1000/appdata/<your app id>/logs inside the target filesystem.

You can easily access that file via SSH connection to your device (at QNX System Information perspective, right-clicking your target and selecting "Launch SSH session".

Re: stderr on simulator

I think what he's refering to is that the console on Momentics doesn't print out anything.

Re: stderr on simulator

Thanks for answering. Useful information:smileyhappy:

The main issue was that program had segmentation fault and streams were not flushed properly so there was nothing on output.

Cheers
