Re: windows : [ QT Creator + BB NDK ] --ota--> playbook QT app

I'm not positive but I think that qmake has to match the qt you built. So the ARM binaries you mentioned would have to have been built on Windows so they include qmake.exe. I can try building qt on Windows this week as I have done so before many times, although I never for PlayBook.

I have got the setup you are looking for on OSX. Qt Creator builds, signs, and deploys my app to my PlayBook. You can also create different builds so that you can do most of your testing on your desktop and then only build for PlayBook at certain points. Makes development much faster.

sporadicsoftware:

I'm still unable to build-deploy qtcreator to PB neither from windows nor from xubuntu,
If you can detail here how you set up your mac (mine has snow leopard), that could be my last and best chance to succed.

Re: windows : [ QT Creator + BB NDK ] --ota--> playbook QT app

thanks for the info !

I think it comes from Pelegri, as seen @ http://openbbnews.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/qt-update/

I'm being installing it.

Anyone else has ?

Woohoo, finally can stop mucking around with linux VMs and just have a working version.

edit: 84MB just for the QTQuick basic app.

RIM needs to get the libraries out in an update, this is ridiculous.

Is there some other way to install them besides haing to wait for the  USB copy every single time?

What lib did you included? Because my bar is about 12mb for my QtQuick/QML app

Re: windows : [ QT Creator + BB NDK ] --ota--> playbook QT app

I used the blackberry QTQuick option in the new projects menu.

I did add one other library, but it wasn't a Qt library and is only 600k.

Well, qt creator automatically adds all libraries found in lib folder (~80MB). You need to modify either blackberry-tablet.xml or projects .pro file

Yes, if you use the old tried and true pro and xml scheme as posted around here all over the place you can keep your package a reasonable size.

At least now us Qt devs can get debugging output in creator! YAY! No need for eclipse at all now!

Its getting closer to how I would like to see it, hopefully there will be a plugin for the QtSDK soon as the linux pb Qt SDK they released conflicts with the standard one....

Cheers,

Jon
