I am looking for the os 4.5 for my 8703e.  In the blackberry site it states the 8700 series is supported.  When double checking my bb against the 8700 series phones listed on bb.  It states it is one of the 8700 series.  Where do I get the 4.5 os?

If I may ask , what is the advantage of this new version ?

HTML enabled email seems to be the greater reason. There are others.

New address book and calendar views, etc.

After downloading the software are you suppose to select country your in as Asia? I didn't see the option and when I ran it and tried to update after removing vendor XML, it doesn't recognize its there? Not sure what else to do?

You select the country based on your language preference for the setup, I believe that is what you are asking.

Are you following the instructions from that link, running loader.exe, or Desktop Manager?

And, you downloaded the 8700, not another model?

I did select the country based on my laguage.  I followed the instructions from the link.  I ran loader.exe first and after that didnt work I ran Desktop Manager.  I verified the download with the version and product listed on the link.  I am not sure why it does not ask me to load.  Could it be because the current os on the system was initially installed with the vendor xml?  Any further suggestions?

Mind stating here what file you downloaded, the filename?

Pull the battery on the bb and reboot the device.

Reboot the computer also.

Try it again following the instructions given.
