8800 working - can't switch on/off/reboot. Screen blank, red light flashes. Unrecognised by pc.

Hello,

Can someone please help.

I bought a 2nd hand Blackberry, app's showing. The BB was locked and did not have a SIM card in it. I downloaded BB Mgr v4.7 and OS, and connected the BB (without SIM), which was recognised, both interacted successfully, until a msge appeared stating, 'apps being deleted'.  BB stopped working, blank screen, flashing red light, unable to turn off/on or reboot (take out battery).  BB is not recognised by my PC.

Can you please advise what I need to do?

Many thanks.
