i guys need some help troubleshooting my unbranded 8830
i cannot revieve pin messages
-my pin is unregistered from sprint.
-and so is my phone.
using v4.5.0.186 os
i can:
recieve push email
surf the web
3 party apps connect to web fine.
can recieve test PIN messages from MYSELF only
CANT recieve pins from anyone else
I have new service books as of today
no firewall settings are checked.
i am using my 8830 on O2 germany
i recieve email messages from my o2 germany email address on my phone fine.
Could there be an issue with any of the CDMA settings in the service setup( the one you can access with your MSL#) that are blocking my pin messages from comming in?
HELP!!! PLease any ideas?

On your devcie, look at Options > Security > General Settings... scroll to the bottom of the page.
Is there any IP Policy name stated there?
Where did you buy the device? New from a carrier retail store?
Or used?

what is suppose to be in the IP policy name or is is suppose to be blank?
I bought the phone off ebay.
the PIN worked fine with the before i discontinued the sprint international plan. now i have a O2 sim card with BIS. The weird part is that when i was "roaming" with my sprint international plan, i was on the O2 network and like i said everything worked fine, with the sprint sim card.
Once I got my O2 sim card, i unbranded the phone so that i could use the Data and internet with O2.
Now, everything works fine except the PIN which is the reason i bought the blackberry to communicate with back home thru PIN.
Is there anything in the CDMA settings screen, like the BB reg id or HA primary or HA secondary OR the USA phone number that is loaded for the phone that would effect GPRS operations?

It could be anything the previous BES Admin named it. My question is not what or how it is named, it is IF there is a policy name there.

And how did you do this? Using what process or software?

That could certainly be the one of the problems you're having...
See the RIM Knowledge Base article here for information on how to remove an IT Policy. See the Method Three in the link:

That is not what I asked. What software or process did you use in doing this?
I ask questions not to entertain myself, but to try to ascertain more information about your issue. It appears that each time you post here, you fill in just a bit more information to the mystery, like you wish me or us to guess or that we're just supposed to know what all you have done previously.
It matters. Please answer.
