Hi

I recently got a used BB8800 from a family member that got a newer one. I can not get a suscription (at  resonable price) where i live that support the internet features of it, so im just using it as an ordinary cell/sms device.

My question, does the build in GPS require a suscription to work? i can not get it to find any satelites at any time. If not, my device might be broken or i dont know..

Hi and welcome to the forums!

GPS  would require a data plan. Sorry.

For future reference to enable the the GPS click options>advanced options>GPS services location on> location aiding enabled.

yea, did both (kudos and problem solved thing) already. Im used to navigate/create forums and websites.
