Browser Alert?

You know how you have a mesage alert, missed call alert, and Facebook alerts that all appear in the upper left hand corner? Well I have what appears to be a browser alert in that corner (because the icon is a globe.) I've unplugged the battery, cleared my browser caches, and cleared my memory cache by holding down ALT and typing LGLG. Still the icon is there. Anybody know a way to make it disappear?

Re: Browser Alert?

Try going to:

Options

Security Options

Firewall (click it)

Once open:

Hit the menu key (left of trackball)

Then click "Reset All Counts"

See if this clears the browser alert....

Re: Browser Alert?

Regarding the 'browser-alert' which I have on my phone since half a year...

which 'options'  do you mean in below answer?

if I press the options button on my blackberry pearl, i don't have the function 'options', but I go directly into the menu (where I can select, maps, gmail, settings, call log etc.).

Hope you can help me,

regards,

Re: Browser Alert?

Hi,

I have a Blackberry 8700, I have the same browser alert as mentioned above and have tried just about everything to clear it, including clearing cache's.

I have followed your instructions:

  1. Select Options
  2. Select Security Options
  3. Select Firewall
  4. Click on main menu button
  5. Select Reset all counts

............... but it has not cleared.

Any other suggestions?

Thx

Marcelle
