I have some recurring entries in my calendar that won't delete.  When I try to delete them, they just remain in my calendar on my 8830, although when I sync with Outlook they won't go there.  When I try to open the entry to edit them, I get an error message that says "Appointment deleted externally.  changes will be lost and the viewer closed".

So I can't edit them either.

Can someone please help me? I've tried doing a reboot, but that hasn't worked, and I have seen nothing like this on the support boards.

I am experiencing the same thing on my 8830 and it is frustrating. I am synching with Outlook via my company's enterprise server and I have marked all of these calendar entries as private so they are not appearing in Outlook. They can't be deleted. I have not yet tried to create/delete a public calendar entry.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm new to this forum so forgive my ignorance. Is this forum managed and/or monitored by RIM QA/support/development staff? If so, can someone confirm this behavior? I can give any information that is needed to assist. I'd like to at least see this behavior acknowledged for a possible fix or workaround since it has become quite a nuisance. Thank you.

I think that this one fixed itself when I pulled the battery to fix another issue.

Thanks for posting the note about removing the battery. This problem has been driving me nuts, and removing the battery seems to have fixed it!

Help! I'm having the same issue, except mine isn't going away after removing the battery. Any other suggestions?
