Default BlackBerry Browser settings

I'm wondering what the default browser settings are on the 8800 - in terms of the following:

  • Support HTML Tables
  • Use Foreground And Background Colors
  • Use Background Images
  • Support Style Sheets
Also, on newer models, do these defaults apply as well, or does it change from model to model?
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Default BlackBerry Browser settings

Hello badg0003,

The settings that you are enquiring about all depend on the software version of your BlackBerry Smartphone. Please specify the OS version by going to Options>About (3rd line from the top).

On newer models these options change and as I mentioned previously it all depends on the version of the OS the BlackBerry Smartphone is running.

Thank you

Re: Default BlackBerry Browser settings

The devices I primarly needed the information for were:

Version 8820, Software Version 4.5.0.37

Version 8800, Software Version 4.2

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Default BlackBerry Browser settings

Hi,

To make sure that the browser configurations are set to defaults on the BlackBerry Smartphone complete the following.

Navigate to the Browser and press the menu key(Key with a BlackBerry Symbol) then select options, select Browser Configuration once in this screen press the menu key again and select Restore Defaults.(If that option is not there that means the default settings are already in place)

Thank you
