I had to delete my ISP email address from my blackberry 8700g otherwise it was locking up my email acct with my ISP. I could not connect to their server and download messages. No changing of any settings helped and I have had this phone with this acct for two years. Use Outlook 2007. 

Any ideas why this happenned all of a sudden.

Did you change your emails IDs password from your PC? Check the password that is entered while integrating your email ID with BlackBerry. Because if you change your password from PC that also need to be changed from BB mail integration.

I never changed any passwords this problem just occured.  I changed some emails and pop3 settings to unlock it but it relocked. Only way to keep it from locking is to delete personal email address from bb. By lock I mean when I hit send/receive on outlook window I can't access sever it is locked. provider has no clue to solutuion yet. I can send email though. I may try to set up new email acount on bb with old email address.  In advanced settings on bb under email server it was imap.siscom.net.  Where as I have a pop3 account and incoming sever on my ISP account settings was mail.siscom.net. This all worked that way for two years.
