I have lost access to couple of emails and most of my contacts in the address book is under these emails. However, I have all the contacts on my Old BB. So now I am switching to a new BB and I cannot move contacts to the new one.
I have used desktop manager but the files are "read only".

It sounds like wireless synchronization with an email account was enabled for your contacts on your BlackBerry® smartphone. Please try following the steps in this KB article to disable the wireless synchronization in your BlackBerry® smartphone Address Book, then try to backup your contacts again.
