How do I start over (hard reboot)??

I just purchased a used BB 8800 - unfortunately it does not give me the option to "create or add an email address" it only shows me the black berry enterprise option and the skip email option.  I do not see a web browser either.

 

So my questions is how do I get around this?  Or can I do a HARD REBOOT where the BB goes back to DAY 1?

Check the below steps to integarte your email ID in BlackBerry -

  1. Go to Email Settings icon on your device
  2. Login using using the user name and password (if already set by you)
  3. Under Services click on Email Account
  4. Click on Add An Email Account to integrate any POP or IMAP enable email (i.e.. gamil, hotmial, ISP mail etc)
  5. To create BlackBerry.net ID click on Create A BlackBerry Email Address
  6. Type your preferred User Name and enter your Password for that ID

After every successful email integration you'll receive an confirmation email from Activation Server. That's it!! You're done with BIS email ID integration.

 

BlackBerry device can't be have a hard reset like windows mobile. Once integrated with the BIS it need to be disintegrated to be reused.

that's the problem - I do not see the EMAIL SETTINGS ICON this is why I'm completely lost.  It's a used phone and for some reason the email seems to maybe already be linked to the previous owner.

 

How do I get around this?

Did you subscribed for BlackBerry data plan? If so but you can't find Email settings icon then contact your carrier at once. May be your carrier didn't/wrong provisioned your SIM card.

 

Just to let your know having an unlimited data plan doesn't entitle you to use BlackBerry services.

Thank you!!!  Got it - yes - had to call my carrier and add the BB plan.

try options, select security, press menu, select wipe. this will wipe all contacts, email. msgs, pics from your phone and restore it to factory settings
