Hi I am having a similar issue with my 8830. I am trying to upgrade from my current 4.2 OS to 4.5 from the BB website, and once I run the application loader it says "my device has the most current software". I didn't see a way to save the file locally once I hit the "upgrade" button, it just opened the loader.

after much research last night I discovered the issue is with Sprint not releasing a 4.5 update for my phone. Looks to be a hot issue for a lot of 8830 users right now.

Anyone know where can I find the last stable software to my BB Bold (Claro Brazil Carrier)?
