I´m trying update my BB Bold, so I access:
I click in "Check for update".
Application Loader is loaded, ask for my PIN Password, but when it try to search update I get a error message:
"Error in service connection . Check your internet connection and try again later"
I trying 3 months! And my internet connection is OK.
Anyone know what I can do?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Go to Options, about. Your version will look like 4.x.x.xxx.
What version are you trying to update to?
When you download upgrade software, do not start the desktop manager.
Most importantly, do not have the BB plugged in until you are actually ready to
run the application loader.
At the point of download, select save file to disk, do not execute it.
Download the software to a known directory on the PC. After the load is complete,
then click on the self executing file. The file will install into the correct directories
for the application loader to find.
Start the DM, plug in the BB and upgrade.

I'm trying search for a update, and not upgrade from a file.
Please, take a look at:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update/ (open it in IExplorer and not in Firefox).
When I click in "check for update" (in this link above), App Loader is loaded but it show me an error messsage about internet conection problem (but my internet conection is OK).
And I 'm using:
BB Desktop Manager 184.108.40.206
BB Device Manager 220.127.116.11
App Loader 18.104.22.168

What is the latest version of Bold software that is offered by the carrier?
AT&T lists v22.214.171.124.
I am trying to determine if there is in fact an update available for your phone.

I really don't know how can I found the last release update to my BB Bold, from my carrier.
Blackberry website is really confuse.
In Dec/12/2008 I receive a mail from @upgrade.blackberry.com saying that a new release is available to me, and saying that just necessary go to http://www.blackberry.com/go/softwareupgrades
But... When I click over "Check update" I receive a message with "Internet conection problem".

Ok that took a bit!
Claro Brazil 8800 software can be downloaded at this link.
I don't know why you can't access the OTA link, but you can download the
software and install it with the desktop manager.
